Life in the Heart of Texas
was a regional magazine for the Heart of Texas. It covered Life and history within a 60 mile radius of Iredell, Texas, where we (Alden and Micki Nellis) lived for 15 years. This was a truly unique magazine, giving an honest look at what living was like in central Texas.

Life visited all the small towns around Iredell - Walnut Springs, Cranfills Gap, Meridian, Clifton, Morgan, Tolar, Bluff Dale, Clairette, Hico, Stephenville, and more.

Old Folks sent in their tales and folklore and family history, and Life printed it all. Life inspired budding writers to try theirhand at fiction or art, and we printed it.

Each issue of Life is being scanned and published in Adobe pdf format. We are missing Issue 30 published October 1985. If anyone has it, please lend it to us for scanning. Email micki@buffalo-creek-press.com
